The story behind Grow Your Biz
I won’t pretend I’ve never winged it, there’s still a bit of fake-it-til-you-make-it in me. But in 2022, after COVID, I decided to get control of my life. I needed a business with recurring income, real financial security. That’s when I did a marketing course and bought an existing website company, rebranded into what’s now Snap Marketing.
Degree in visual art and design, diploma in marketing, fifteen years in business, twenty-plus in retail management, and the rest picked up along the way. What took me longest to learn: marketing isn’t just branding or AI, it’s your own self-belief too. You can have all the tools and still talk yourself out of using them.
AI and SEO move fast. But branding, recognition, the psychology of trust, that stuff doesn’t date, and it’s the foundation everything else sits on. I tested it recently, ran my own social page on selfies alone, no AI content, ninety-five thousand views in 28 days, all organic. I don’t just teach this, I test it.
I also run the Motueka Ripple, a community project that’s shaped a lot of what’s in this course too.
